Multi-shell Necklace
This necklace is extraordinarily sentimental, and a bit of a departure from my other pieces. I can accept that it might not be everyone's thing … I have been in such a weird space lately. I just want to get back out there on the beach and frolic in the sun. Making this piece helped a great deal.
The shells I used are sea urchin (natural) and natural trochid spirals. I should mention that the trochid shells appear to have been coated and filled with two different colors of resin. I will give the vendor the benefit of the doubt here -- I'm sure these shells are fragile and perhaps needed some fortification.
- All metal components are sterling silver
- Cable style chain
- Textured jump ring
- Heart-shaped lobster claw clasp
The necklace assumes a slight V shape when worn.
I have never had such an easy, pleasant time shooting a photo of one of my pieces -- the colors of these shells are so beautiful, and the abstract shapes are so appealing.
